Halloween might be over, but at the American Center the monsters and ghouls are still on the prowl. This Saturday, we held our first ever Halloween disco and costume contest, and the students stepped up with some rockin’ duds.

Monkey hearts, mad scientists and blood-soaked chefs…all things that you could find at this week’s American Studies Center Halloween party. Peace Corps Volunteers taught students about the origins of the holiday, how it’s celebrated in America and easy ways to make wicked costumes (in preparation for this weekend’s Costume Disco). Halloween Decoration Party!

It’s party…it’s party time! Students and volunteers gathered to get ready for this year’s Halloween party(ies) at the American Center! Students painted posters, hung cobwebs, cut-out gravestones and made spooky hanging decor in preparation for the 31st.
